hello. i'm currently a senior in high school. so am i not allowed to post here? =bbbb.
but i had a question!!! i didn't get into a college i wanted to. or more like where my parents wanted me to. and my parents are talking about me transfering ALL the time now.!!! but i know you have to study like REALLLLLY (?) hard to transfer. how likely is it that people transfer? i'm not talking about just any random college to like yale or anything haha just like one level higher?? haha. ahh. i dunno.
i was wondering if anyone had an amazing stories about how much they improved in college? i guess haha i dunno.
i guess i just need some encouragements!
and did anyone study abroad? is it possible that you study abroad during sophomore year and transfer when you enter junior?
what's the best year to study abroad??
wow. am i asking too much or what? haha
just pick one and share

Well... let's start with this. If the school you want to go to is highly competitive (i.e. USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, NYU, BC, Tufts, U.mich etc), i'll let in a little secret. It's not hard to get into college as a transfer. The only reason I think it's competitive in high school is because there are so many applicants. I've seen people getting into UCLA with mere 3.0's directly from a JC. Im not saying you should coast through and expect things to come easily, but if you really know where you want to go, and you really are willing to work hard (and do whatever it takes for you to get what you want), then i'd be on the same side and have at least a 3.4 when you apply (you shouldnt have any problem getting into most competitive colleges).
Now.... if you are talking about schools like MIT, Cal Tech, or Northwestern... it may be a little tougher (i wouldnt apply with no less than a 3.6).
Sorry i can't tell you any amazing stories about improvement... but as for myself, in high school i used to be a B student. in college I am still a B student. and my prospective for my graduate school life is to be a B student. so yeah.... at least im consistent.
