ok, so, i'm a guy thats a senior this year. and lately ive been seeing this girl thats a freshy at my school around lately. shes really pretty and her personality is really bubbly, and she's in my art club. i haven't gotten a chance to talk to her yet, but i'm afraid. i'm afraid because if we do get close, i'll be going to college next year, and she's going to still be in HS. and I turned 18 two weeks ago, so it's pretty much illegal to even be with her.

what should I do? I can't get her out of my mind.

The fact that you're 18 shouldn't be an obstacle. You can still be in a relationship with her (not illegal); you just can't have sex with her (illegal). I'm not sure if you're even thinking that far ahead... Just be friends with her for the time being and see how it goes.

Whoa, whoa... you're thinking 10 steps ahead and you haven't even made the first step yet. Just greet her and talk about something related to whatever it is that you guys do in your art club. But don't expect a relationship to blossom out of it. Don't say anything unnatural to force anything to happen. Don't think too hard, buddy. The key to being confident is to relax. Try your best not to sound like a pushover. If you don't know what that means, look it up. If nothing comes out of it, at least you'll have no regrets having met her.

If she's cool with you, you won't have to worry about the legality of it. I'm pretty sure on that. And if you happen to make it to the "10th step," THEN you can start worrying about what you'll do in the future. But for now, before it's too late, start at step 1.

My boyfriend's a senior and he's leaving for college
soon too, and we got together when i was a freshman,
and he was a junior. We just go with the flow really,
and we dont think about what's going to happen later,
we just face it as it comes.

dude, the police arent gonna check your IDs when you guys are going out and about. thats just stupid. its only illegal if you had sexual activities with her. and that is ONLY if she reports. its not illegal to love somebody. forget about the law.
where are you going to college? if its nearby, you should continue the relationship. if its far away... if u really really like her and if she feels the same for you, give it a shot. if it doesnt work, atleast you know you tried.

I don't think the age difference should be a problem. I know a couple who were 7 years apart, the girl being 16 and the guy being 23, and it's becoming their third year together in February.
