I don't think I will ever forget the awful crunching sound the rear of my car made as it became one with part of the garage wall... dry.gif

My question is how much it will cost to fix the dent and the paint. Are there any Bay Area people that can recommend a good place to get my car fixed? I have a 2005 PT Cruiser Convertible.

This picture makes me cry... tears.gif

don't go to maaco.
no more than $1000 for a color match, might be less (depends on who)

i can't tell if that dent can be pulled out by looking at that angle. looks like it can.

For the original poster, see if u can take the bumper off, try to punch it out. Get some sand down the area that is scratched, bondo the hole, go to the dealership for the paint. Follow instructions, apply.

If you dont want to deal with it, buy the paint at the dealer and then go to your local Korean mechanic. Ask them how much it costs, shouldn't be more than $100 bucks I estimate.

For the guy with the rock chips, see if it's actual paint that was removed, might be just the coating. If it is the case, wash it.... paint it with some touch up paint and get some clear coating for it.

If the paint is chipped, use touch-up paint.
If the paint has hair-line scratches, either get a professional detail or use 3M scratch removal applicant.
