Really? I thought winter would be winter everywhere regardless if it's not as cold or whatnot.
I feel stupid now.

it's how the earth is tilted at an angle... sometimes the southern half is closer to the sun and the northern half is further away (which causes places like Australia to experience summer and places like Canada
to experience winter) and vice versa ^^;;
I stopped believing.

The Earth is tilted and the Northern and Southern hemisphere's are always in opposite seasons, ie. North = Summer then South = Winter, North = Autumn then South = Spring. For example, I'm in Australia too, and yes, it's Summer. The sun is hitting directly on us and not for people up North, so they don't get as much direct sunlight resulting in Winter. But global warming has sorta messed up the seasons, it was like pouring rain here and it's summer. Melbourne weather. Psch..
