Spamming how do i stop it?

when they text message you, reply "stop". works all the time for me. i have t-mobile.

That's what the AT&T/Cingular person told me to do, but it didn't work for the spam I got.
I also learned that AT&T can't do anything to block spammers. We can only call them after paying the bill and then tell them to give a refund on the spam text messages. so lame.

I thought that if you didn't open the text, you don't get charged for it...
