true that!! shooot i wanna be rich too!! but u gotta find ur own way. << sorry if i sound all preachy.
just because u went to a certain school won't make u rich. u'll get respect sure from coming from a prestigious college; but it shows if you have learned anything at all.
and harvard is competative its a medicine and law school. so yeah some of the richest professions out there.
but do u have that kind of mentality and do u want to do it? apply anyways.

Like my counselor says...
There's no way you can get in if you don't apply!
But keep in mind there's always grad school (:
And to a person reading your resume,
Grad school > Undergrad school

jkjk.
If you can get in, apply. If you just want the vibe of being a Harvard graduate, go ahead. There are probably hundreds of people that do the same. It's your future.

My friend, whose parents both went to Harvard (therefore double legacy) told me that Harvard and other Ivy League schools look at LEGACY before everything else. its like..
LEGACY
GPA/standarize test scores (SAT/ACT)-- same level of importance
LEADERSHIP
Extracurricular- in school and out of school
Therefore, my friend has a pretty high chance of getting into harvard, like, 90%...cuz...not only he's from DOUBLE legacy, he's also got 2370 for SAT and 4.6 GPA. =x
but i dont think he has much extracurriculars, and he's def ain't leadership material LOL.
but the legacy part will make up for that.
hope that helps

GPA and standardized test scores aren't on the same wrung of the ladder anymore, especially since there is such a big deal of controversy over the validity of the SAT tests. I think Harvard looks more at GPA, teacher recommendations, personal characteristics, and extracurricular involvement above SAT scores. Legacy isn't a big deal if you don't have everything else.
Harvard, and most big name colleges, don't look for students who want big money. They want to look for students who are passionate about learning, who love to contribute in class, and who love school.

That being said, don't be scared to apply if it's a dream school of yours

for example, i know someone who graduated from babson, is now 23, and makes an excess of $750k a year. (maybe that's not a lot to you, but to me that is really really good for a 23 yr old)
besides, i think harvard is way overrated.

I heard that more and more colleges are looking at SAT's as less important now, because there have been lots of debates about whether SAT is really an indicator of how well you'll do in college or not. GPA usually seems to be the highest factor. o.x;

then you'll most likely get in.. A lot of rich (some smart, some average) attend Harvard
because of their parents.
But you should apply.. you never know.. Harvard is just a stepping stone in achieving 'general' success

that's true. lol
honestly..
like honestly
i don't hear much from students who garduated from harvard
lol
people who graduate from lke cal state schools or some uc schools seem to have a better future (a loot of $$$$) than people who graduate from famous schools.
