And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. We shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.

Jumping rope would be comparable to running I think. Just google both and you'll see the rate at which you burn calories for each

^ HAHAHAH! thats funny. youve gotta be PRO to do that.
i think you should google it; but running burns the most calaries out of all the sports.

It REALLY depends on how fast & how high (or whatever else there may be) you're going.
I think if you're trying to seriously make sure you match the amount you could've achieved by running, you must count how many skips you do. There are probably sites out there that measure in that way.
I think that jump rope is easier to do if you don't want to go out to run, and you don't have a treadmill or something at home. You know, because you don't too much space to jump rope.
Make sure you wear...what's it called? Shoes that don't strain your ankles due to the impact of jumping up and down. So, no flats.

but i've heard that when you jump rope it makes you taller? i dont believe it because when i was younger i used to jump rope a lot and im now 5'3'' xD
so that's just some asain myth moms like to spread
haha but i think jump roping is more of an exercise to build up your stamina and your leg muscles and running is more of an all over cardio exercise.
i heart chuu~

yeah, i agree. they have different purposes so it really depends on what your aiming for
i think jump roping is a good warmup for running. it all links to each other

it does wonders for my legs and right arm xD (cuz i only use my right arm...left arm only throws ball up xD)
but...when it comes down to your abs....there is absolutely no change at all = ="
i had to jump rope too for pingpong and that generally strengthens your legs and arms
i also used to play soccer in middle school...now that was really intense
i actually had abs and really strong leg muscles back then...
soccer had running in it...and that was the only thing that made my stomach flat xD
so i would chose running over pingpong and jump rope....jeez...way for me to be a traitor @_@
xD lol
