In my MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers it says .. "If the year of publication is not recorded on the title page, use the latest copyright date"
However, the book I have to copyright has a million dates, and I'm not positive which one to choose.

There are years of publication, but which one am I suppose to use? [I'm in HS] My AP teacher told me she was taking the MLA in our research papers, and I just want a little confirmation/validation.
I'm not sure if this was the right place to post, but, if anyone knows the answer its you college heads right?
