Publishing Software? For student newspapers/magazines?

Hi I was wondering if there was any free publishing software out there that simplifies the compilation and publishing process of a newspaper or magazine?

I'm looking for software or programs that can help me quickly create something like this publication.

Check out OpenOffice. They might have what you need.
