I'm stressing with one of my college essays that I have to write. The topic is "How can I contribute to diversity?" Yes..it sounds easy but I really have trouble coming up with what to talk about. All I can think about is joining some clubs like culture club and interacting with people from different cultures but that doesn't seem like I'm contributing. Do you guys have any ideas? Also, I'm not sure how I should open my essay. My first sentence can't be "I can contribute to diversity by..." It sounds weird to me

What have you done in terms of diversity at your High School and in your town? Just do the same, but in college =).

The way I contribute diversity at my university was by joining a few clubs and going to and helping various events within these clubs.

like Avex said, it doesn't necessarily have to be about race
