Hi, I'm interested in applying for a student loan from my bank. I already get financial aid and am a dependent student. I'm not looking to using loans like this to pay for tuition. It's more of like using it to buy a laptop or what not. I'm wondering if any of you applied for a loan from your bank. Was it pretty easy to do so? How much were you able to get. How much is your interest and when would you need to pay it back?

I just applied for a student loan from my bank. It wasn't easy for me since the requirements was to atleast have two years job experience and atleast a 21 months of outstanding credit. Because I didn't work nor have a cosigner, I did alot of research online and applied with alot of banks. I finally found one! You can actually use the student loan to purchase a laptop or pay for rooming and boarding and even purchasing ink cartridge.

1. It's not hard if you have all of the requirements.
2. They usually ask you how much you would like to borrow and I requested 7k and the money goes directly to you. Usually mailed you a check 7-10 days.
3. The interest rate was 15.21% for me >.<
4. And yes I have to pay it back. They give you the option on how you want to pay it like, monthly payment on the day you borrowed or you can wait til you graduate from college.
