ok someone please tell me ASAP if i go to UCSanta Cruz it is not too far to drive everyday home to San Jose, near SJSU right? because my bf and i are trying to live together but he will be going to SJSU and i might be going to UCSC. I looked up on map quest that it is about 40 min.. but im not sure if this is accurate and i dont' know how bad that will be daily please anyone would advice.

Do you two have to dorm? Maybe you could compromise and find an apartment halfway. Overall don't trust mapquest though.. it told me I could get somewhere in 30 minutes and it took me an hour T___T Be sure if you try to live together you can manage your time well~ o.x;

Traffic on 17 is pretty bad sometimes...so it'll be longer than that.

Yea, it's not that bad when there's no traffic.
It doesn't take that long, but then it's just mountain road after mountain road.
I wouldn't want to do that everyday.

Can't you get a house together, but dorm at UCSC, and then go back to SJ every other day or something?

If my boyfriend and I were in that situation, I'd compromise. No way would I be the one driving to SC every day.

Otherwise, SJSU offers an education just as great as UCSC, why don't you go to SJSU then...

I'm going to ucsc nxt yr too. N my bf n I were gonna live together too except he's gonna b living around palo alto (if u kno where that is) by then I called it off bcos I thot it aid b nice to enjoy college life on campus for a little while n live in the dorms. N plus living together can cause alotta dramafor both of u. But if it is wat u want. Oh yeah n wit the killer gas prices nowadays n driving thru the mnts everyday thru traffic. I guess u guys can find a place in the middle but yeah I don't really think its the best of ideas

thats probably not the best idea, no offense.

1. it will probably end up to be a huge hassle with both of you going to separate schools

2. i don't know how close you 2 are, but if something may happen, it will leave both of you at a loss
