When/how do you find out that you get money from FAFSA? i filled it out a month ago.... o_o

When: Correct me if i'm wrong, i think you'll find out when school is about to start. Like a week or two or three before school starts.

Well the filing period just opened, so I don't see how you'll be getting it anytime soon.
Schools use FAFSA to give you financial aid so I think it comes around the same time your acceptance letters come, don't they?
Don't you see how much they'll give you before you decide which school you want to go to?
I have no idea, but that's what I'm guessing.

wow, how did you fill it out a month ago? didn't the filing period start jan 1?
or do you mean, you filled out the worksheet??
anyway, i don't think you find out until your schools send out acceptance letters ^^

FAFSA for the next school year [08-09] always comes in on Jan. 1st.
Did you fill out the 07-08 application and send it in? Because you should have waited till the first to fill out the new application.
FAFSA itself does not send you a letter or give you money. It just tells the financial aid office at the schools you're going to what your EFC is (how much your family is able to pay). From that, the school sets up a financial aid package for you. Usually, they send it in during the spring time. It may come with yoru acceptance letter, but it all depends on when you receive it.

Just to let u kno the real fafsa website is this one

I think there may be others similar to this website but my counselor told me that this is the one we want to use..
I'm a senior in hs now and i'm so anxious/nervous for college!
