I have decided to major in fashion design. But I'm not sure which degree I should go for. Since private college is too expensive, I'm planning to attend a public college. If I choose to get a two-year degree, then I'll attend a community college. And if I choose to get a four-year degree, then I'll attend a four-year college (such as Long Beach California State University).

What more can you learn and benefit from a four-year degree? How is a four-year one better than a two-year one? Does a four-year degree guarantee to get you in a top fashion industry including a high paid job?

If you're a fashion design major, please help me or give me some advice.

your portfolio is more important than anything else when you're getting a job/hired after college (from what everyone's told me anway >_>)
so I don't think it would matter which one you choose, but what you gain from it after wards. I'm guessing if it's a two year program it's more intense? since it's in a shorter amount of time

but make sure fashion design is absolutely what you want to do, because spending money on fabrics and material can be costly, and it is difficult and competitive. you have to have the drive and passion to be in this industry (i'm starting to think i want to change my major because i've realized that this is not something i'd want to do forever ^^; )

good luck on your decision !! =D i'm sure you'll do fine~
