honestly, if you're THAT sick, you have 2 options.
1. get REAL rest for a couple days while taking lots of water and vitamin C and eating a lot of healthy and wholesome foods to kick your immune system into high gear. this will probably cost you a couple of days, but you'll be better enough to enjoy the remaining few days. (your condition wont be optimal, but you'll definitely be ok enough to enjoy your break).
2. visit a doctor and get prescription medications, or OTC's that come close to prescription strength. a few OTC's that worked well for me in the past was dayquil and theraflu severe cold (daytime). you'll have to fight through the hard times and always keep medicated, but at the very least you can somewhat enjoy the rest of your break. you can recover when you get back.
if it were me, i'd go for option 2. just get drugged up to the point where i dont feel anything and party hard. of course, if it were me, i'd be drinking every night and have probably killed off that cold by alcohol poisoning before it became a serious problem.
