i heard about both.
Both are private4 schools, both have their pros and cons.
From what I hear, USF (Univ. of San Francisco) has a really good reputation in the BAY AREA. One person I met that came from there seemed really smart and down to earth, and told me that its academic reputation was equivalent to USC's (although I am a little skeptical about it). anyway.... I would actually recommend you to apply there because the program looks rock solid, and the city is great (MUCH BETTER THAN SD OR LA if you ask me).
Univ. of San Diego also has a good rep. I know a girl who went there for undergrad and eventually moved onto UCSF for pharmacy school. their sciences and business programs are good.... and you are expected to see a lot of white people. San Diego is also a great city to live in... i actually would not mind living there at all (although i think i enjoy the Bay area a little more).

I go to University of San Diego. It's a pretty good school, actually. The law and business schools are the most "famous," I think. The food is pretty good compared to most schools, and the class sizes are small. The only thing I don't like is that there isn't too much diversity in the student body. San Diego, as a city, has a lot of diversity, but just not really USD. (But that's not to say that there is NO diversity; there is, just not as much as other universities).
However, the campus is super pretty and (so far) the classes I've taken have been pretty good. Also, if you go up the road a few miles, there are tons of Asian places, like bubble tea shops, food, Morning Glory, etc.

im thinking about going to USF because I just got accepted but.. i live on the east coast so it would be a biggg change for me. How's the USF campus like? and do you know if i would be able to transfer after my first year to a UC school? like Berkeley or LA?

to transfer from a Private school (USF) to a public university i.e. UCB/UCLA is going to be a pain in the rear end. My friend did that and nearly died on the process. There are different requirements and breadths for the two systems and trying to get enough credits to transfer in the first year is nearly impossible.
Her advice was to go from Public -> Public in Community College-->UC because the CCs have agreements with teh UC system. Even the State Univi-->UC is more difficult because they are two separate systems.
btw, USF is gorgeous...the view from Lone Mountain Campus is amazing =) Although, the bad part is the 120+ stairs you have to trek up to get from street level to the top >.< the best part is the campus is close to many bus lines
