OK, right now i'm a senior in high school and am taking analytical physics. we were given an engineering challenge where we have to build a device that will move 13 Lego Bricks from one side of a standard lab table to the other side over a 2X4 barrier. We are not allowed to touch the device during its process of moving the legos from one side to the other. We cannot use any motors except for the 1.5-3VDC Metal Gear Motor and the 1.5 to 3VDC Hobby Motor.
My partner and I were thinking of building a lego contraption and just program it to move the legos, but we're not sure if the motors that we are limited to will be able to work with the lego contraption.
Does anybody know anything about robotics and that can help us with building our device? Any comments/suggestions are welcome.
