i have a really huge problem .
and i can't solve it :x

substitution of x and y values.

heres one that i solved :

x+y=4
y=2x+1

4=2x+1+x
4=3x+1
-1 -1
3=3x
x=1

1+y=4
-1 -1
y=3

and here`s the ordered pair : (1,3)

here's my question :
x=y-1*
y=4-2x

*are you suppose to change and distribute either equations
and solve for either x or y.
and how ?

thanks for helping. tears.gif

x=y-1*
y=4-2x

well you can subsitute for y

x=(4-2x)-1

3x=3
x=1

Hopefully that helps because the only math I am good at is algebra. haha ^^;
