I just discoverd a new band "BAY". Their version of Yui's Goodbye Days is pretty good and their latest To Music MV's pretty 0_o lol

Not many new releases in the pop side so I am digging deeper. Just discovered 2 gropus: Fighting Daddy and Copy Machine. I haven't listened to the whole album yet but the title songs of both groups (Fighting Daddy Fighting and Okie-Dokie) are really good.

Clazziquai is.... rock??? I think they're more jazz..

I dont really think Nell is rock either.... they're pretty mellow.

I've given up on looking for good rock bands in Korea. Japanese rock bands on the other hand, are AMAZING!! Why can't we have any korean artists like Miyavi (although he is half korean..), Dir en grey, or Alice Nine? Whatever. I'm musically satisfied either way. =)

I just got into Kim Sa Rang recently. Oh man, I'm in love. His style is so all over the place and hard to pinpoint, but he's so amazing. I'm just mad it took me this long to discover him. I've had his first album on repeat for a few days now. <3

i can't deny what you say. j-rock has been around forever, and j-rockers are very distinct with their own styles and sounds (not only in visual-kei, but in other genres of rock). but i think koreans are now trying their best, both in acceptance and sound. this is why i am asking about korean rock (which is still carefully tucked away in the "underground" section). my all-time favorite is seo tai ji of course.

I want to get into more K-rock, since I love rock music more than anything...so I'll be skimming this thread frequently :] it's a shame that k-rock isn't as well known as j-rock or k-pop... there ARE some really good bands out there!

ok just wondering if there are any good korean rock bands out there so i can download or have some idea of how good they are in rock hehe...kks...uhh but so far i've only heard or Nemesis...they're pretty good...and i guess F.T. Island is kinda rockish and ballad together too...so any help out there???

FT Island is not rock - they are a boy band dressed as rock stars! Besides, you should know by now that they can't possibly be true rock since their thread is not in the k-underground! Or according to the system here. But from everything I've seen of FT Island, they are a boyband product.
