Hi people,

I just got chicken pox recently over the Christmas and New Year period. tears.gif  I'm now waiting for the dried blisters to drop off. I know that this is actually a childhood aliment and I'm in mid 20s this yr so I'm quite old to get it.  I was wondering:

1. When can I go out? After the blisters have crusted or I have to wait till the crusts have dropped off?  When does the contagious period actually end? I got different answers from docs so I'm pretty confused.  My doc told me the latter while my friend's doc told him he can go out after his blisters crusted.

2. People have told me to avoid eggs, seafood, nuts and chicken for the next 1-2 months for the scars to heal completely and nicely.  How true is this?

3. How soon after the illness can I start exercising? I heard that u will actually feel weaker and easily tired after this period.  Not too sure about this since I've been staying at home the last 2 weeks with minimal activity.

Do share ur experience with me if u have it.  Thanks!!

I do try not to scratch them. I already have a scar on my collarbone. Have quite a number of big blisters all over my back, hopefully they won't leave any obvious scars. I didn't dare to scratch them.
