firstly, i'm very sorry if this is in the wrong section ^^"

i've been wondering if there's any difference if you would start your first year in uni in semester2, coz in the uni app they asked what semester you would like to start... and if you say semester two (e.g starts in july)
is there anything other than that you would be graduating half a year after everyone else? i mean, is it a bad thing?

it's just that i have something i wanna do in my home town before i start uni, but mom wants to know if there's ad/disadvantages with starting in sem2

i might be doing this too~ i don't think i got into my course for semester 1 at this uni i really want to go to, but i can start in semester 2 for it.. if the cut off has remained the same at the minimum uni cut off ._.
or i can start in semester 1 in another uni... so i'm really stuck!

the disadvantage i can only think of when starting in semester 2 is just that you're graduating a semester later, really.

advantages... you can enjoy and do more things before starting uni so early.
like if i start in semester 2, i'm going to start saving up more money and working my butt off.

heyyyyy~ o my gawd i thought so too!!! after all we've been studying all our lives, i don't see anything wrong with taking half a year off when you have the chance, right??

and we're in the same situation lol, i didn't get in the uni i wanted as well, but i'm offered a place which starts in sem1, however i can go to this other uni and start in sem2^^

and i see we both like xiah.... how strange is that? ahahahahahah

ooh, yeah i wanted to take a semester off too.. and i really want to go to the uni where i didn't get in for 1st semester..
but i don't want to be left out from my friends because most.. well, all are starting in semester one. ahhh!

mm yeah. the best advantage i guess for it, is that you can work and save money up. then it can help towards uni fees and all the stuff you have to get for uni (i know that the textbooks are REALLY expensive.. well, depending on your course.. and mine over here are pretty expensive!).
