Do You Tip At The Restaurants...

For me, I always tip at a resteraunt, $3... And if it's really good it's $5. Mainly my tip goes to the service tbh, I eat it whether it's good or bad, but if the person didn't care at all, handed the food rude, didn't check on us (to fill drinks) once in a while, the tip goes to me.
No avoiding the question like "depends what I order", etc

If it was good and service was good, I'd leave around 10 - 15 % of the bill. ^^
If overall I hated it.
I'd leave nothing. ;D

If the service is bad, I still leave around 15% but I don't care if it goes a little under.

We usually tip more than 20%, 15% if we barely get any services.. that's only at restaurants though.
If it's at a buffet, we tip 10-20%... they don't serve you, but they do pick up your dirty dishes.
If it's a carry-out, we leave them 5-15%. someone boxed & bagged the food...

but usually more like 18-20%
i feel obligated to because waitressing is tough and a lot of the time people only leave a few dollars, no matter how big the bill =/

10% if the food is good, but the service was okay.
I always feel obligated to leave tip.
I find it rude if I don't >.<
But if the service is absolutely horrendous, then I don't tip at all.
I remember one time I was eating out with my friends~
We had absolutely terrible service and the waitresses were extremely rude.
And my friend's boyfriend left a penny as a tip (which is very insulting btw).
I really did not like their attitude towards us, but I still don't think they
were bad enough to get a penny x_x I feel horrible about it, haha T.T

I remember one time, we ate like only 20 something bucks, and we gave a 10 tip.
haha, but we tend to get pretty loud and messy though...
Otherwise, the usual is just 10-20% too :]

$2 seems like not enough. i usually go for the TAX times 2 (which is the rule of thumb).
So one time i went to an expensive restaurant, the bill came out to be around $85... i just left $20 tip.. it seemed fair.
By the way... don't you guys hate going to restaurants with a group of friends, and ppl think they can slide without paying their tip? I hate that.... (usually girls, but some cheap guys too).
