Hey, I'm a UCB first year and I recently cut my hair short. I really want to keep the short style but that means I'll have to cut it often and I live too far away to go to my usual salon in SD.
So, as the topic states, anyone from UCB know of any salons within bus/bart distance that can cut asian styles well??(and affordable? Haha) Is that korean place inside Sather Lane any good??

Thanks! <3

if you can go to alameda (bus 51 goes here)

there's a place called tomos on park street (you can read the reviews on yelp.com)

i think it's overall pretty good.
it depends on who cuts your hair but its pretty $20-$30

my favorite is some girl called.. nina i think lol.

There's this new salon that just opened up on University and I think the cross street is Milvia, or close to it. It's called Lhasa and two Tibet ladies work there. My friend got her hair cut there and I got a perm and both results turned out good (I was very afraid it would be a disaster). They're really nice ladies too, I watched the lady cut my friend's hair and she seemed to pay a lot of attention and care to how my friend wanted her hair cut to look like but at the same time she gave helpful feedback on whether she thought it would look good for the face shape. Anyway, it's really cheap, $12 for haircut; I assume this is b/c they are new and so need to draw in customers. The place is very close to campus also
