There was a Geroge Carlin joke.. uh what was it.. something like "There was a poll that 50% of Americans masturbate. ..And the other 50% lie about it.". Yeah.
Girls talk about it, just when they're older and only with eachother, not with men. Younger girls are usually ashamed of it or think it's "gross" (as you've seen). And as others have mentioned, girls can't jerk off. There's nothing wrong with saying "masturbate"; that's the correct term for it.
Btw I don't know if this topic is even appropriate for soompi in the first place lol
