Hey everybody! I'm a sophmore in college and spent my freshman year getting the frosh experience and dormed but hated it cause it was so dirty and well dorms just aren't home and i got sooooo homesick. So fall semester I lived at home and commuted (without traffic, it takes 45 minutes to drive there, sometime with traffic an hour and a half at the most). It wasn't too bad and I got used to it, and everyone knows that living at home has its benefits. Well here's the dilemma: my school's housing called me today and said that they have an opening at one of the apartments on campus and I could move in if I wanted. I think the two of the girls might be black (tamara tanalis and angela berget?) and one might be indian (rena sha), not sure of the spellings cause i just heard it over the phone from the lady. I'm not racist or anything, but living-wise, it might be harder for me since I'm Korean and our living...nesses (lol) are different, you know like taking shoes off inside. So I'm trying to decide whether or not to live at home and give up this chance (you get put on a waiting list for housing if you leave) or to take it for a semester. If I live through this, I'll live on campus junior year with a few of my close friends but I can only do that if I live on campus a semester before. Living on campus also has its benefits like being able to just wake up and be there on campus already, plus once my schedule gets more demanding, that might be a major plus. What do all of you think I should do? Stay at home and live comfortably or take the one semester and then live with my friends the next year?? I need to give a response before noon on january 16th >.< ahhh!! PLEASE HELP!

If it were me, I would try living on campus. You're going to have to move out eventually, but you can always go home if you feel really homesick, right?

I would try it. I've lived on campus before during my freshman year and lived at home during sophomore year, like you. I got accepted into a dorm but people say that dorm wasn't exactly um... the best so I stayed at home. The food sucks at school anyway. :x Butbut I would try living in an apartment with other girls, just to see if it works out.

I'm a live on campus shipper. I live in a dungeon... but it became my temporary new home. It helps when you have friends, I suppose. biggrin.gif I have issues studying in the same house as my parents. @_@;
Why hello. :)

live at school, if i had the money i would live at school.
at my house there is so many distractions and the constant nagging from parents can get annoying.
its better to be by yourself because you can make your own decisions and if it turns out to be a bad one, then you can get up yourself and start over

live at home.
if u have that much homework, u can ignore everything else at home liking cooking and laundry and stuff.
u have more privacy.

if ur looking to be more social, i'd say live at a dorm. it'd be fun.
kpop stuff for sale. and the random inbetween's..

I live with three white roommates...

the first couple of day it WAS ROWDY!!! Even if we do get out seperate room. But it's crazy after the first week. Who would knows differen't people with differernt culture and belief would get along so well. From time to time they would invite me to go out and drink with them, but too bad I'm not really into those stuff so I feels like an ass when my roomies says "You don't hang out with us"...so occasionally i would go. It's basically a learning experiences, at first i wanted to switch out of the dorm...but i gave it another week...it was a good choice on my part. My college offer free gym membership so I would go there from 9-11pm, go home and study. Gah my classes started at 10 am, but I wake up at 9:45 and I managed to get there on time.
