Well, there are all kinds of Birth Control out there. There are pills, injections and circle thingy that you stick put there and even the patches.

Which one did you choose and why?

Because I just got mine today and I choose patches. I'm thinking about changing to injections after I use all the patches. I'm new at this and was thinking about starting this sunday so I'd be easier to keep track. I didn't choose pills because I thought that I would forget and stuff, since we have to eat them at around the same time each day...

My gynecologist just gave me pills. I didn't really have a choice or anything.
But I'm fine with pill cuz I feel like they're the most effective...although they all probably work the same, lol.
I have to take it generally around the same time, like within a few hours, but that's about the only negative thing about pills for me.

i stick with pills, because the brand i'm taking now doesn't give me any negative side effects.
Don't want to take risks, so I don't bother trying other method since this one works fine.

my sister is on patch, cuz she forgets things.
i don't like that method, i don't like the appearance of the patch on my skin, i want to keep it cleaaan.

I just started the pill (Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo), because it's the most common/doctor recommended it. I don't really like the idea of the other BCs, because I don't like the thought of having a fairly large (to me) sized ring up my vava and taking it in and out. The patch is visible like Bunnylicious said. I heard a lot of negative side effects about the shot... I know every form of BC has negative side effects, but the shot is more "permanent" although not always effective from what I heard.

Samesies, except I'm on some generic brand.
I think I'd get an IUD when i'm done having kids (in the future) though.
And I wish that we had never talked,
Our hips said it all..

I'd probably use the pill. I'm not really a fan of sticking things up there ;(
Plus, in biology, we learned that the pill is the most effective, and add a condom and you're almost perfectly guarded. (Can't say 100% because there will be those odd cases, as so my teacher tells us)

Personally I take the pill, patch isnt bad either.
But I do not recommend getting the shot because you gain weight and sometimes a lot 10-15lbs.
Even thought you might be skinny I know some people who have gain lots of weight due to the shot.

I would take the shot, just because it makes almost everyone gain weight.
Never happened to me but it did happen to some people I know.

the nurse lady said every 3 months. I thought about using this method because I didn't have to remember to eat a pill everyday and or change it on whatever day but after reserching about it the side effects kinda look.. eh

i wouldn't consider doing the shot.

i used the patch for like 1 month, i had pretty bad side affects and it gets pretty nasty on your skin. Sometimes i felt really nauseous especially in the mornings.. the only pro was that i was really on time with that patch!

nwo im on the pill but i forget like EVERYDAY.

instead of doing the shot, i would recommend the nuvaring.

im using the pill.
mainly because i have PCOS & the pill helps regulate my hormones
& the contraceptive side is just a bonus for me i guess.

i wouldnt even think abt using injection because i hate injections >_<"

nor do i want that circle thing up my ......

never actually thought abt patch ;o

I'm going to go back on the pill because my last pill i used allowed my body to lose weight.
I think it makes my body think i have my preiod 24/7 so the metabotlism works faster.
Even though im not sexually active now :s

While on the subject.. my OB/gyn just prescribed Yaz for me (to regulate my period) and I'm seeing all these horrible reviews online. Anyone here on soompi have any comments on Yaz?
