You can try Nicholas Sparks.
He was the author of the movie-based books "A walk to remember" and "THe notebook"
I've only read his book called Dear John...very sad! and hes a really good writer

If you don't mind reading fanfics, you should try "Conversations Between Us" written by Solangel.
I'm sure you might have noticed "april loves black coffee" or "i'm having a heart attack" on people's signatures.
It's a beautiful and complex story, one of my favorites on Soompi.

There's also "Sky Blue" the author was anonymous but it was in Soompi's library quite a while ago.

Bookwise... I don't know. I can't think of anything. XD

I second that - it's the only book that has so far made be bawl my eyes out.

Another book I recommend is The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffeneger (sp??)

and... that's all the romantic/teary ones that I know of... unless you like scary stories then I can recommend you plenty!

Sad and romantic? Or sad or romantic?

Soompi's Romance thread - http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?sho...36115&st=80
I love Julie Garwood! Her novels are not sad, quite the opposite actually

Nicholas Sparks is all right, a few of his novels are pretty good. Although, I must admit, they tend to get dull.
Some people have mentioned 'P.S I love you' - you should check that out.
I don't know............. I never really liked 'The time traveler's wife' =/
