hey everybody.
i too have come at the age when a car is necessary.
especially in long island b/c lets face it you can't do much here without one
and it is just annoying to hitch a ride from someone else and can be frustrating
and all my friends around me are getting them except me.
but now i am fresh into second year of college and it is my time
but i was just curious when everybody started getting theirs.
i used to be so jealous when 16 yr olds started getting nicee new oness
still makes me jealous b/c even now i got to wait until mayy

I was 16 and I got an '06 Nissan Maxima.
Yeah I got a new car but it's gonna be the last car I will get from parents.
It's suppose to last me through college and until I get old enough to buy my own.

I got my own car at 16. Don't remember what it is, but i officially started driving myself around when I was 17, and it's a 06 Corolla. I still drive this today.

my first car was a 1986 Acura Legend... a car given to me at age 16. it was a handme down and i was happy with it since i didnt walk or get dropped off at school anymore, lol. Couple months later, my parents got me a brand new SC400.

Wish I started with a nicer car...mines was a super rust bucket of a Camry. 1988 Toyota Camry with 272,000 miles exactly when I owned it and it got great gas milage, but was uber loud...lol...I miss the car quite frankly because I loved giving rides with it. I was 18 at the time and I bought the car myself for $400...bought the car instead of buying Carmen Studio pictures; so I didn't get to be put in the year book. LOL...

I got a 1984 Buick Skylark my mom handed down to me when I was 16. That thing was comfortable but sucked butt in reliability. I don't remember exactly, but the transmission didn't make it past 110k.

So I don't think I'll be getting a car soon until next year.

Anyways, I'm really 16 but I wanted to say that I'll be getting my permit when I turn 17 and then I'll be getting a car the year after that. So I'll be 18 *sigh*
