7년 하고도 10일, 2001년 7월 1일 오디션을 본 이후로 지루하고도 긴 시간 포기하지 않고, 무너지지 않고 자신을 계속 채찍질 해 결국 이제 무대에 서는 한 연습생을 바라보며 가슴이 벅차 오름을 느낀다. 너무 자랑스럽고 고마운 마음…



물론 이로써 이제 JYP의 최장기 연습생 기록은 여기서 멈추게 되었지만, 지금 지치고 힘들어하는 다른 수많은 연습생들에게 큰 꿈과 희망을 주게 된 것 같다. 끝까지 포기하지 않고 꿈을 향해 쫓아가면 결국 기회는 오고 만다는 꿈, 가장 소중한 희망을 주게 된 것이다.



함께 들어온 동기인 선예가 원더걸스로 성공하는 모습을 보면서, 또 다른 동기인 G Soul이 알 켈리와 함께 미국 진출을 하는 모습을 보면서 권이의 마음이 얼마나 힘들었을지 짐작이 간다.

지난 연말 나의 공연에서도 선예와 G Soul이 나와 함께 무대에 설 때 한 명의 관객으로 지켜볼 수 밖에 없었던 권이의 마음이 어땠을까.

마지막 기획사의 오디션에 떨어져 길에서 주저 앉았던 내 무명 시절을 돌이켜 보면, 권이의 마음이 얼마나 괴로웠을 지 느껴진다.



가끔 걱정이 되 권이의 미니 홈피의 글들을 훔쳐보면서, 행여 무너지지 않을까 걱정한 적도 많았다. 권이의 글 들 중에는 무너지기 일보 직전이라는 느낌을 줘 회사 사람들과 함께 조마조마한 마음으로 지켜본 적도 많았다.



하지만 언제나 결국 권이는 다시 자기 자신을 가다듬었다. 겉으로 항상 주위 사람들을 즐겁게 해주며 밝은 미소를 짓는 권이지만 속은 누구보다도 여린 걸 알기에 지난 7년이란 시간을 이겨낸 의지에 박수를 보낸다.



권아 축하한다.

아직 너의 노래가 성공한 것도 아니고 니가 상을 탄 것도 아니지만 너는 2567일 이겨내고 결국 무대에 섰다는 것 만으로 이미 성공을 한 것이다. 설령 이번 너의 앨범이 성공하지 못 한다고 하더라도 넌 니 인생을 결국 성공시킬 거라 확신한다.



넌 나에게도 감동과 교훈을 주었다.

Of course, with this now JYP’s longest trainee time record has halted here, now all those trainees who are exhausted and tired, you have given a great dream and hope to them. Until the end, you have not given up and instead chased your dream until you were given the chance, that dream, the most precious hope, you have given.




The people who came in with you during the same time, watching Sunye be successful with wonder girls, as well as G Soul who together with R Kelly went to the U.S, how much I estimate as to how tired your heart must have been, Kwon.
Last year during a performance, watching Sunye and G Soul perform together on the same stage, only being able to watch as one of the spectators, I wonder how Kwon’s heart must have felt.
During the time when I failed my last agency audition and as I sat on the curb as a nameless person, I can feel as painful your heart must’ve felt.




Sometimes I worry, so I check up on Kwon’s minihompy entries, by chance if you would crumble, there were a lot of times when I worried. Within Kwon’s writings there were some that gave the feeling of you being on the verge of crumbling, that a lot of times the agency people along with I observed with nervous hearts.




However, in the end Kwon would always brace yourself. On the outside, you’d always give the people around you a great time as well as a bright smile, but deep in your heart unlike anyone else I know you heart is tender, the past time of 7 years in the purpose that you were able to defeat, I send you my praise.



Kwon Congratulations.



As of now, although your song isn’t successful and although you didn’t win any awards, the fact that you were able to defeat 2567 days and in the end stand up on stage is already a success. Even if your album this time can’t be successful, its confirmed that you will eventually make your life a success.



You have given me inspiration and a lesson.

JO KWON IS GOING TO DEFINATELY DEBUT ON JULY 10.

Since Jo Kwon came to JYP on July 1, 2001, JYP said in the beginning of the letter "7 years and 10 days.." 7 years and 10 days from July 1, 2001 is July 10, 2008. I'm not sure if the 2AM, 2 PM deal is still going on.

BUT IT FOR CERTAIN THAT JO KWON WILL DEBUT NEXT WEEK, OR HIS MUSIC PREVIEW WILL BE RELEASED.

I believe that JYP wrote a special letter just for Kwon is because even Kwon debuted with other Hotblood members, you've got to realize that he is the LONGEST TRAINEE IN JYPE HISTORY, and whats great is that he never left JYP to debut faster, and he never crumbled in his self. I'm proud that he's finally debuting, he will be successful.

I'm so proud.
