This thread is for all of you struggling students! I have a foreign calculus teacher who has a really bad accent. Everyone in my class finds it hard to learn anything because he makes it so confusing. We were talking about limits and then he suddenly starts talking about Archimedes Circle or something. So since the beginning of the year, I've had to learn calculus on my own because I certainly was not learning anything in his class.

At first I found a really helpful book, How to Ace Calculus the StreetWise Guide, but it just wasn't enough so then I googled some stuff and stumbled upon some videos and they are soooooo helpful I thought I should share these little jewels with everyone else.

Man, your math teachers sound a lot like most of the new math teachers at my school. I'm so glad I didn't have them or else I'd bore myself out.

oh, and your calc. teacher.. Yeah I got the same lousy teacher for 2 yrs straight.. I hated intro. calculus. I did so bad.. I should have turned to youtube.. ahaha..

I sure had some teachers that had terrible accents and you just lose what they are trying to say really easily..& they go off on random tangents. ><

if ur teachers suck...then suck it up and find better ways to learn. i learned that complaining and whining about ur bad teacher wont do you any good. find better learning techniques

Ha.. I wish there were videos for Discrete Math. It's my professor's first year teaching it, and no one understands a thing. We all have to study and teach ourselves on our own.
