I just got the Samsung YP-T7J and I'm trying to .. use it but the damn computer won't recognize it when I plug it in. I did all the stuff you're supposed to do; I followed everything that installation CD told me but it STILL won't work. Can anyone help please? ASAP sad.gif

I'm wondering if my USB ports aren't 2.0 supported, though I don't know why they wouldn't be..how would I verify that?

Someone PLEASE help. Thank you!!

if you know what kind of motherboard you have, go to the manufacturer's website and see if you can get a new set of USB drivers...

if you're not sure of the make/model of your motherboard... you can open your computer case up (providing it is a normal "tower" kind of case and there's no warranty restrictions on opening it) and the details of your motherboard should be on its uppermost edge

If you have old usb ports.. usb 1.1 it sitll wouldnt matter.. USB2.0 is backwards compatable to 1.1 so instead of taking say 20 seconds to transfer it will take 4 minutes. Slower, but will still work.

But im leaning on what boka said about the motherboard drivers. I also used to have a set of USB ports that were disabled in the BIOS.

Are you running Windows XP? Sometimes I have to reboot XP before it will access my Avit mp3 player, then XP forgets how to access my mp3 player after a few minutes. I don't know why. Unplugging and replugging the mp3 player after waiting 10 seconds brings up XP menu on how to process the device, I select open file with windows explorer. I cut and paste my mp3 file into the mp3 window, any other method causes XP to forget how to access the mp3 player. Korean mp3 player and English Win-XP just don't want to play sometimes. blink.gif

I don't know if this can help you but ...

This happened to a friend of mine ... and when she asked me for help, I just opened her mp3-player and took out her battery to "reboot" it but then I noticed ... the plastic was still on the battery =____=;; Lol, we laughed our asses off afterwards.

i don't know if you still need help. but i have the exact same mp3 player n had the same problem. in my case (feel like a complete idiot), the usb cable was not all the way into the player. sounds stupid doesn't it? but i'm serious it was really hard to get the usb cable all the way into the mp3 player.
