i think im gonna make rice cakes and fish on 2/7 to keep with traditions/superstitions then have hot pot on 2/8.

laugh.gif guys, I think moon cakes (Yue Bing) is for Moon Cake Festival / Mid-Autumn Festival which is in September.
I think you mean the new year cake( Xing Nian Gao), that is the sticky light brown round cakes.

well i'll be in HK, dunno if its too late to book a restaurant when i arrive mellow.gif anyway, eating of course biggrin.gif and probably go see the celebrations in HK. CNY food is always good, i LOVE CNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha, I am vietnamese, but I wanna cook something for a change for chinese new year so some days ago my sister and I looked at soompi for recipes, we decided to try cooking dukkbokki and jjajangmyun , they are really easy to make and although that was the first time we make dukbokki, it tasted so nice thanks to the easy recipe ^^
Looking forward to some home made dukbokki for new year ^^

& then probably eat a restaurant there. There's many choices that I want to... err... try? Lol I dunno. Gotta explore again.

For the first time in my life, I tried a mooncake. It had yellow yolks in it... which were very salty. >_< The lotus paste wasn't bad nor was it exceptionally tasty. I want to try the whiteskin mooncake. That looks good. +_+
