Synopsis:
QUOTE
Hazel Stone wants nothing more than to be a part of the hottest clique in school, the Pretty Little Devils, but she’s stuck at a lunch table full of high school C-listers. Hazel has resigned herself to life as a nobody—when suddenly everything changes. The PLDs invite Hazel to one of the group’s famous parties, held at the site of one of their babysitting jobs. Before Hazel knows it, she’s in with the in crowd—and she couldn’t be more thrilled!

But nothing turns out the way she expects. Especially when one her classmates becomes jealous of her newfound status—deadly jealous.

Author Nancy Holder weaves a wicked tale about the price of popularity, and having the kind of friends some girls would just die for.

On the back of the book:

I just finished this book earlier today. And honestly, I was pretty skeptical about it, thinking that it'd be your typical teeny bopper, highschool clique-y drama, kind of book. But I was pretty wrong. Not about it being a teeny bopper book, cause it is. But on a pretty different level. This book had a little bit of everything. From romance, to drama, to suspense, to thriller, to being a full blown "who done it" murder mystery.
It's the perfect book to read, if you're not up for anything that's indepth. This book was a nice, easy read. Perfect summer beach book, or one to curl up with when it gets really cold and you just don't feel like doing anything else except read. (That's what happened to me today) I definitely give this book a 4.5/5 rating and Barnes and Noble has an average rating of 5/5 for it on their website.

ANYWAYS, now that I've given my review (sorta) lol, I was hoping there were some people who've already read this book, that can answer a burning question of mine. And for those who WILL be reading this, they can answer my question when they're done smile.gif
Spoiler Q: At the end we find out that Ellen is the killer, but my question is, why'd she kill all those people. I don't understand, or see the motives behind it. Except maybe Brandon's death. She "accidently" killed him cause 1) He fooled around with Sylvia while he was with her and 2) to frame Sylvia at the same time. But why Breona? And Megan?
Hopefully someone can answer these Q's for me. I probably would be able to piece it all together if I read the book again, but it's way too soon to re-read it lol. And plus, it's nice to read other peoples' input on this. I have my theories, but it'd be awesome to see it in other perspectives.

^ Yeah. I guess it's pretty similar to Jawbreaker. I haven't watched that movie in so long, so it's kind of vague. But I do remember that what the girls in Jawbreaker did wasn't intentional. They were just playing a prank and it backfired. Whereas the incidents in PLDs, the pranks were suppose to backfire. (If that makes any sense at all lol) So thats the only solid difference I can pinpoint b/w the two. However, yes, now that you mention it, the story lines are pretty similar, except for a few points.
