So my favorite band is Nell. I love them to death.

And my second favorite has to be My Aunt Mary.

I also enjoy listening to Rocket Diary, some TRAX.. And for Japanese I enjoy listening to Gackt and some Miyavi.. I love rock but I don't like hardcore rock.. I don't like yelling and screaming..
And I also like electronica, like Clazziquai, FREE TEMPO (looooove)....

Well I realized I have a quite.. narrow range of interests in music.

I don't even have a favorite American band.. o_o

A lot pf ppl said Nell sounds a bit like Coldplay so I'm starting to listen to Coldplay and it's okay- Don't LOVE it though.

So can you guys recommend me some more artists that I can get into? ^^;;
I went through a lot of the topics here about other underground bands but I didn't really them.. unsure.gif

Who is your #1 favorite band/artist??

As for my favorite American rock band... God there are so many. My father taught me to listen to some of the rock legends (like The Beatles [Eng], Led Zeppelin [Eng], Jimi Hendrix [Ame]). But I pretty much grew up with a mixed exposure to American and British rock, from past to present, so there are just too many bands for me to name! I admire so many from various different categories. Rock itself keeps evolving so I'm always just curious for the next wave.

PS.
Fly High, you have a very soft taste in rock. How can you not like rock for what it really is: a hard sound? You're missing out. I'll think of a really good list of western bands with soft/pop rock flavor for you.

Hi, I think this might be my first post here...? Anyways, we seem to share somewhat similar tastes in music as I really like Nell, My Aunt Mary and Clazziquai too while also prefering to stay away from that screamo stuff...

When it comes to American music though I don't really have much favorites either, but of the english music I do listen to from time to time, I would reccommend as the previous poster said, Incubus... and also perhaps Dave's Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers... You might also try Keane or Snow Patrol. Personally though I really like Muse and Oasis... then there's Rhesus and Pinback which I enjoy as well. Unfortunately really limited..

There's no doubt loads more and I, too, am interested in seeing what others might reccommend....

. . . . .

Why do you think Rob Zombie is a genius, (out of curiosity)?

Amazing use of irony coupled with a vicious sense of humor that's evened out by the brassiest kitsch presented in a fun, uniquely 'Americana' package...

tis' Rob Zombie ~

Red Hot Chili Peppers. My favorite band ever. Check out their song Californication. smile.gif

If you like more pop rock, try Sugarcult.

Other good ones: Green Day, Motion City Soundtrack, Red Jump Suit Apparatus...

I listen to a lot of hard rock so I can't offer much more... But if you ever feel like trying hard rock/screamo again, go for Bullet for My Valentine. They're not American but they're really good.

My favourite band of all time ever: Foo Fighters.

If you want to try a mixture of a harsh sound as well as some nice mellow stuff check out the In Your Honour album. 1 disc is 'electronic' (don't know how else to describe it) and the other disc is an accoustic album. Fantastic.
