Taiwan 台湾

Leehom Wang 王力宏 - Totaaaaallly #1. ♥ Complete package: Great music, great tunes, great style... Yeah, he's a must. laugh.gif His latest album is not bad <3 Called "改变自己" Change Me.

Gary Cao - BRILLIANT songs. Gorgeous voice. I heard he recently released a new album. I love "Superwoman" and others.

Tank - Another uberly talented taiwan guy <3 Love love his voice.. Amazing guy.

JJ Lin - Gotta love this guy's voice. Latest album - West Side 西界, love "Baby Baby" and his old songs too. (Plus his english is soo smexyful <3!)

Will Pan 潘玮柏 - if you're into rap and stuff~ + he's hella cute (His new album isn't bad, called "玩酷")

Kenji Wu - creative. His "泛泛之辈" was my favorite song for a while...

Show Luo 罗志祥 - Very great personality <3 Nice singing and awesome dancing too! Latest album "Show Your Dance". Cute duet with Elva Hsiao~ ♥

Evan Yo 蔡旻佑 - Still kinda a newbie, but you can always try him out~ Evan Yo - 我可以

Angela Zhang - amazing voice. Although she can be a bit annoying if you're not used to it.

Jolin Tsai 蔡仪林 - Taiwan's #1 Female Artist. Her style is very similiar to Jay's, so you might like. I'd recommend some of her old songs though more than her new. Her "J Game" album was most appealing for me. But her lastest album "Agent J" won't disappoint.

Hong Kong 香港

Justin Lo - I can't say he's the best, but he's one of the top in Hong Kong Music right now. Love his voice, love his way, love his songs. I loved all his songs in his "No Protection" album. (Volar is extremely recommended.)

Hins Cheng - just PLAIN AMAZING live. Saw him in concert and immediately became a fan. Should give him a try.

Janice Wei 卫兰 - ABC girl with a strong, unique voice. I loved her 大哥 (Big Brother), Never Let You Go (English version) and 离家出走 (Runaway From Home)

Jill Wei - Janice's sister. Her singing isnt as great as her sister's, but she has her own style. More r&b, very catchy. And she uses a lot of English, which is a plus for me. smile.gif I loved her "Lonely" and "Heartbreaker".

Stephanie Cheng - I love her image, very healthy. Her singing is different than typical hongkong singers too.

Mainland China 中国

Wang Yue Xin 王栎鑫 - I can't stress how incredibly talented this kid is. He's amazing, amazing, amazing. I love him to death and I find his music incredibly soothing. He recently released his first EP, which was also sold in stores everywhere in Taiwan. It's called "天生一对"~ Should definitely, definitely try.

Yu Hao Ming 俞颢明 - Hahaha, yuexin's best pal. You can find the song they sang together in 天生一对 EP. I don't think he sings incredibly well, but he's hella cute and he works very hard. (: Plus his songs are catchy too... I recommend his single, "如果可以爱你" ~ The girl from Baby Vox was in the MV. (:

Anson Hu - Great voice. Not very good looking but an amazing singer. You can definitely expect variety from him.

Jane Zhang 张靓颖 - How could I have forgotten her! She's an OUTSTANDING singer. Love her strong, strong voice. Her versions of Mariah Carey songs are absolutely amazing too.

I'd list more but.. It's like 12:30 AM x__x;
Hope I helped~! <3 Welcome to the world of cpop... biggrin.gif

David Tao
Gary Cao
Khalil Fong
Anson Hu
Xiao Yu

These artists are more towards R&B

If you want hip-hop , I think Machi is good.

Here is a song to check out:
Nicky Lee (李玖哲) - 想太多(xiang tai duo/think too much) smile.gif
He's Korean but he sings in Mandarin, he's apart of Machi.

The previous posters suggested a lot of good artists. I'm partial to JJ Lin and Hins Cheung <3

I might repeat some people but here you go:
David Tao - Love love love him. I've been addicted to his music for many years.
Leehom Wang
Khalil Fong - Really good but his style takes some getting used to. But once you get past that stage, you'll enjoy every second of his music.
JJ Lin
Anson Hu
Machi
Nicky Lee
Chen Wei Lian
Jane Zhang - Her voice is gorgeous.
Faye Wong
Mayday - Amazing band.
Shi Kang Jun (Jones Shi) - Totally underrated singer. His voice is lovely.

I'm not extremely crazy about these but you could try them:
Tension - They're a bunch of David Tao's apprentices I think. They do mostly a cappella but their music is really hard to find now a days.
TANK - Lots of Jay Chou and David Tao influence.
Coco Lee
Gary Cao - I haven't heard much from him but he's popular.
Nan Quan Mama - Jay Chou started the band.

I'm going to list some others haven't mentioned.

All from mainland China, because it seems people don't know them very well...

1. If you like Jay Chou you'll like Hou Xian (aka HoHo). He's amazing. He's like Jay, but he blends in Chinese instrumentals in almost all his songs, and much more seemlessly. Plus his voice is a lot nicer.

2. Carsick Cars - They have sick beats. They aren't really mainstream, but I love them to death. Youtube them if you like alt rock. You won't regret it.

3. BOBO - A Chinese boyband/duo with the looks AND the vocals. You really must try them out if you are looking for something poppy. Jing Boran's voice is soooo good.

4. Cao Fang - great indie singer. Her song was in a GE Commerical that played around for a while.

5. Xu Fei - Nice voice, soothing songs.

I love Da Mouth - their songs are really catchy :]
Danson Tang
JJ Lin
Anson Hu
F.I.R
Show Luo
Xiao Yu
Ping Pung (disbanded) ---> Kary Ng
Sodagreen - they have a nice, different sound.
Hotcha - if you're into that kind of happy girl band music.
