Does anyone recommend any Pre-College Summer programs ( Academic or Art ) ?
Because I would like to attend one this summer and I'm trying to find one that I perferrably wouldn't regret going to, Thanks !

Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.

A lot of people I know went to the National Youth Leadership Forum program or something like that. It offers different programs in like medicine, business, government, etc. I think. Also if you go to different schools' websites especially the more prestigious schools, they might post up summer programs for high schoolers.

Yeah, there are a lot. If you're thinking of applying, you'd better start now.
Just visit each school's website. They usually have information about it on their website. Otherwise, for things like the National Youth Leadership Forum, they send you a letter asking you for such things.
But most of the time, if the school hasn't mailed you about these things, you should check it out on their website. I know for some of the programs the deadline has already past...

Personally, I think National Youth Leadership Forum is one of the best programs out there. Last year I went to NYLF-Medicine, & I had a lot of fun & it provided me a lot of insight on the medical field. We even got to go watch surgery & have one-on-one interview sessions with docotrs. The FA's (faculty advisors) are usually grad students are are currently studying the field of what ever program you pick. Not to mention you meet lots of new people that are around the world. You also get to experience dormlife.
At the time I went to NYLF, my friend was off at National Student Leadership Conference on Medical/Health care & she didn't do as many things I got to do.
But you can also check out programs held by schools that you want to attend.

Well for art...
I'm going to the summer program at Academy of Art (in San Francisco). I'm so excited for it!! I'm taking four classes (digital design, interior architecture/design, figure drawing, and Intro to Maya). You can pick classes on Monday+Thursday or Tuesday+Friday at three different times. It's pretty cheap too. $525 for the application fee and then the cost of materials (varies depending on what class you take) and the entire program lasts for 6.5 week. Of course if you apply for on campus housing it'll be more expensive (add $2,500, but STILL that's pretty cheap if you ask me...). I think if you live on campus you have to commit to four classes (if you don't I think min is 1-2 classes). I'm really looking forward to it.
You should do this art program! I've heard raves about it.
I also looked at some other art programs (at Parsons, Ottis, RISD, etc.), but SF is closest to home so I can just take the train there everyday (hafta wake up at 6 though -.-;;).
oh an for academic I'm also taking classes at community college for high school credit (thinking about art hist, gym class, math?/physics?/language?)

I personally... say... NYLF and NYLC are not worth it. They sent me ads for every program you can imagine--Stanford, Northwestern, NYLC, NYLF MEdicine... etc. Not worth it. I sent my money and everything but had to cancel after constant rescheduling.

for foreign language: concordia language villages, different camp sites depending on the language you choose, there are also 4 weeks camps that offer high school credit which is a plus
academics: duke tip @ duke, exploration summer camps @ yale (the senior camps are)
musical: sewanee summer camp @ my homestate of TN!, an interlochen summer camps
these are some that i know of, they might be a bit pricey, but you can apply for scholarships and financial aid!

i hate when there's a seemingly interesting story but i can't read through it because the writing is SO. BAD.

i know that Columbia and Brown has summer programs for sophmores and juniors.
take advantage of that!
when someone asks you later in life, what college you went to,
be like "oh i studied once in Columbia"
cool beans.
