Breakfast: coffee
Lunch: a lot of fruit
Dinner: regular Korean meal

Is this an okay eating habit? My parents have been telling me to lose weight, supposedly 130ish lbs for 5'7-5'8 is overweight. Anyway, I don't have time to work out, so I've just been cutting down on what I eat. Also, I don't eat after 5:00. I'm going for 115 lbs within 2 weeks.

Is this an okay diet? I've been talking to my friends, and they all eat like this, one decent meal a day with some healthy snacks. But I have been getting some headaches, so I've been wondering if this is healthy? I have tried three little meals a day that's recommended, but that just makes me feel really full.

You should eat more breakfast, because you burn most of it off during the day.
Then for lunch i think that's ok.
For dinner maybe eat the korean meal but with less rice or something.

yeah you need more breakfast because that's the most important meal in the day.

just make sure you have enough vitamins and minerals in your diet everyday.
as well as protein and all.

The keys to what to eat are moderation, balance, and variety. Skip any diet that is no-fat, super low carb, and/or high-whatever. The idea of these diets is correcting your eating habits. Moderation is the key. Balance is very closely related to moderation. The same idea applies that you should eat a healthy amount of protein, fat, carbs, and believe it or not even sweets. A healthy balance of dairy, meat, vegetables, fruits, grains etc. is much easier to continue eating than a diet that is keeping you away from certain types of food. Any diet that suggest you eat a tiny amount of a food group is unlikely to be healthy for your body. Variety is also a key because the more types of foods, especially fruits and vegetables, you eat the more likely you are to get all the nutrients you need.

130 for your height isn't necessarily over weight. What is wrong with the world?

Yeah, breakfast should actually be your fullest meal, you're supposed to have a satisfying breakfast not just coffee. But remember satisfying also means healthy. This sounds like a bad diet to me you're supposed to have 3 decent sized healthy meals a day not 1 big meal, this way you can actually slow down your metabolism which will be bad in the long run.

AND 130 FOR YOUR HEIGHT IS NOT OVERWEIGHT! It's actually healthy weight for you... seriously what is wrong with the world.
I just can't get over the fact that your parents would say you're over weight at a healthy weight. I'd understand if it was your peers but not parents.

I took food & nutrition this sem, and my teacher said it's better to eat 5 small meals throughout the day than to eat 3 big ones.
cuz if you don't eat for a longer period of time, you'll end up eating more at your next meal. So if you eat a small heealthy snack in between, you won't be so hungry , which means you'll eat less! XD
and yeah, eat more breakfast! Btw, like the posters above said, 130 lbs for your height is not fat! ><

. . . . . why cant I love you in slow motion, take my time ..?

i think it'd be better if you eat more for breakfast and as the day goes by, you start eating less and less. like for instance, for breakfast you eat till you're almost full. then for lunch you'll eat 3/4 of the size you ate in the morning for lunch. then for dinner you eat 2/4 the size of your breakfast . i hope this helped =D

You definatly need breakfast, it's what jump starts your metabolism for the day.
And if you don't eat breakfast you tend to get even more hungry throughout the day than you normally would.

coffee is actually very fattening. u should eat something healthier.
coffee is ok if u drink it black. but with sugar and cream added, it messes it up.
so, eat something healthy. ie, special k cereal. =]

mine was sorta like ur diet. i ate only one meal. nothing 4 breakfast. ate korean meal for lunch and none 4 dinner. i lost 20 lbs within like 5 months or so? and then i gained most of it back within like 1 year [stress] but still its very unhealthy. eat more breakfast since u burn most of ur calories later in the day. eat decent for lunch and eat light for dinner. and moderation is key * =]

I dont know what kind of diet that is, because bascially you are just cutting your meals into nothing. Honestly best way to lose weight is eat properly. Since your cutting so much types of food out of your diet you'll get tired easy. Eat smaller portions and don't eat fast. Eat slower with smaller bit sizes so that this will help you get fuller quick without eating more. As for working out, if you do 30 mins of tredmile per day thats fine. keep it constant whatever your choice may be. With your diet... it will bascially turn out that you'll gain your weight back because you'll probably crack soon and start eating more. Good luck.

its not just how much you eat but also WHAT you eat.
why dont you just eat 3 small meals a day to keep your metabolism going. what i mean by this is like a salad with chicken, yogurt and one fruit, veggies and salmon. i think the reason why you're so full on eating 3 meals a day is because each time you eat more than whats necessary. Everytime you eat, only eat until you're satisfied and then stop. drink lots of water, and cut down on fatty foods, get enough sleep. Exercising is an important factor in losing weight, i recommend just putting out 30 minutes of your day to do some cardio.

You'll definently lose weight that way, but it will for sure be temporary. Eating one meal a day is very unhealthy and actually if you ask any nutritionist they'll tell you the way to lose weight is to exercise, eat healthy, and eath many times a day. The reason you want to be eating many times a day is because it will boost up your metabolism. It doesn't mean a huge amount; it should be small amounts. I don't know anything about losing weight fast because I focus on losing weight in a healthy way that you can actually stick with. Sooner or later (when you eat 1 time a day) your bubble will eventually burst and you'll binge and gain that weight right back.

Also rather than ommiting foods you like, you should try replacing them. Try 100 calorie packs instead of a candy bar, multi-grain/wheat bread instead of white, etc. Hope that helps.

Eating Breakfast actually kickstarts your metabolism for the day, so you'll actually gain weight if you don't eat a full meal in the morning (your body will hold onto it, thinking you're starving).

I'd eat a full breakfast, some fruit for lunch, and a light dinner before 6PM. No food afterwards, no matter what.
