Before you listen,
forget how Promise U sounded when Seeya sung it,
It'll make it bearable to listen to.
haha;;;
: )
(Warning: it gets loud at the "oh no~" part)

Any C&C welcomed (of course)
Thank you ahead of time.

And a question:
Do I use a falsetto when I sing?

Not bad. I've never heard SeeYa's version but your voice goes really breathy plus it's a little quiet.
Project your voice a little more if possible because it's very pretty. Your rapping isn't too bad.
I just think you restrain your voice a little too much for this song. Other than that. Not bad. ^^ Keep it up.

i wouldn't call this falsetto
maybe... head voice?
that's what it sounds like to me b/c that's how my head voice sounds like x_x

like for the chorus it sounds kind of sounds ilke your throat's closing
keep it open like when you sing the "oh no~" part. cause that oh no part sounded so nice (to me)

but good job (:
you did a very good job
you sound kind of somewhat similar to seeya except they have richer, deeper, more open voices haha

ana_ari_007:
Yay! A comment! haha.
I need to learn how to project my voice without making it sound like a cat screeching which probably made me restrain my voice[?]
;, along with controlling my breathing, which probably added to the breathy-ness. ;;;
I lowered the volume down for the singing, so the instrumental was a bit louder which probably made it quiet, because
cheap, bad mic + loud sound = JDKL#$()G*#(@OD
Thanks for the comment!

j i w o n.

What would be the different between head voice/ falsetto?
(Sorry, I'm a real amature at this;;)
but I do apparently use a closed throat[?] I think that's what it's called;;
like the sound comes from the back of my throat...
I can't seem to fix it --;; help? : )
I envy Seeya's deep, rich, strong voice so much!!
Thank youuu!

;It sounds like I'm listing a bunch of excuses to why I sound bad;
..Which isn't what I'm aiming for;;
Aiish.

Well, guys have falsetto and girls have head voice. It's kind of like, the equivalent?
Your voice is so pretty, but you need more breath support.
Suck in air like a balloon, let your tummy expand with air, and push it out through your throat to sing. :]
And a little more attitude in the rap parts? tongue.gif

btw, where'd you get the instrumental? If you don't mind, can you send it my way? Thanks!

^ she (or he) pretty much said the difference.

but head voices can sound different fore veryone you nkow?
but seeya i believe opens their throat a lot and uses good breathing techniques and support
like my teacher always tells me to open and breath, expanding your ribcage/stomach
sometimes hwen you breathe, you know how your shoulder lifts?
that shouldn't happen.

the person abocve me said everything i wantd to say HAHA
so i'm pretty much being repetitive x_x

you should be able to feel the difference between open and closed throat
when you yawn and make taht deeeep richish kind of sound = open

and it's best if you sing standing up, too. or sit down with a good posture.

v okay i didn't mean it literally -0-; i'm just directly quoting the terms my teacher used and of course closed = tight/restriction

Oh boy. So much misinformation floating around here.

FIRST OFF, there's no such thing as "closed throat". If your throat is closed you can't sing...let alone breath. What people are trying to say is that you might be restricting your throat which can slow airflow creating a "narrow" tone or tightness in your voice. This can happen if you're nervous or are trying to force the sound. Relax, and don't view higher or lower notes in terms of "high" or "low" just as notes.

Secondly, being "breathy" isn't necessarily bad. A lot of kpop stars have "breathy" voices, and use "breathy" tones in their singing. I think what they're trying to say is that you get a bit "gaspy" meaning, you lack proper support and air support so on higher registers you tend to fall flat, and since you don't have much vibrato that can add to that. You have a good ear and you hit pretty much all the right notes, i would say keep working on it and you'll definitely get better.

Not bad. Your voice does seem like it's restricted/tight. But it was good. And this was originally VIBE's song. And then SeeYA covered it. And now you. biggrin.gif
