Hey! tongue.gif I would like some opinions on which car to take on while I'm a beginner driver, but I'll probably just get a good car to start off with since I'll be keeping it for a while. - _ - Please gimme an idea on which car to choose, and why to atleast narrow down my 4 choices.. laugh.gif

Can anyone tell me if the Saab 9-3 sedan is worth the price? They have like an aero edition or something, but it's expensive.. I really like the saab from the Robbers drama <--Korean I don't knoe if it's the same car, but wow! So far, I'm thinking of the cr-v, saab, & the tsx? I sorta don't want the same car as my sister's.. xD

if price is not a factor, tsx seems like obvious choice to me..

i dunno.. i'm wanting to go towards getting a cr-v/saab rite now, because i do like the tsx.. but ah!!! I mean, if i have to choose between these 3, does anyone knoe if saab's are reliable for a while? I don't want the parts being all expensive and hard to get either if something happens to it. o.O

I haven't heard of a Saab breaking down.

I'd rank the cars you want
1. 9-3
2. Civic
3. CR-V
The TSX, I'd just rule out pricewise.

I don't know about the 9-3 since you are a beginning driver. Turbo on a FWD could have some torque steer issues.
The Hondas are the cheapest and will get you the best miles per gallon. For a beginning driver, I think those are the best.

Did a quick search and found this consumer reports article...
http://autos.msn.com/advice/CRArt.aspx?contentid=4023544

does not look good for the saab 9-3..

Least reliable

Vehicles listed in scoring order, starting with the worst score.

SMALL CARS: Chevrolet Cobalt, Nissan Sentra (2006), Volkswagen Jetta (5-cyl.), Chevrolet Aveo.

FAMILY CARS: Volkswagen Passat (4-cyl.)*

UPSCALE/LARGE CARS: Jaguar X-Type, Chrysler 300 (V8), Saab 9-3

I dunno.. Should I just not go for a saab anymore? ^^ My choices would probably be a saab, cr-v, & the tsx.. I just thought that before it made it on the news on a OLD saab making it alive the furthest with just a few oil changes through the way? o.o I'm not gonna try and get a civic, because my sister already has one herself. sleep.gif Wanna go different! xD

From what I've been reading, you want the 9-3, so I'm assuming price doesn't matter.

TSX.

Haha I love how Mercedes-Benz is totally flooding the "Least Reliable" list laugh.gif

Btw to the original poster, I'd say TSX also - I drive a TSX and it's my baby biggrin.gif

my cousin has a 9-3 aero. It is indeed nice. His doesn't to to break down much. I'd get it if you could.

So far, I'm still trying to go for the Saab 9-3 as long as it doesn't break down at all (hopefully), atleast when it's still new.. o.o Then, I'll just probably go for the CR-V!! >.< Not intrested in the tsx as much.. haha I'll see~ BTW, How much was the drive-out price for ur cousin's 9-3 aero? I wish the 9-3 is just worth the money w/ good safety protection.

If reliability is a factor, obviously you shouldn't get the 9-3. I think the 9-3 Aero is a hot looking car, but there is more to it than that. Out of the choices, the CRV, Civic, and TSX are all reliable. The Civic is the best for a new driver because of the size.

Saab isn't even in the same category as a TSX, CR-V or Civic.

I'd choose a Saab over the other three, because I love German made/Euro cars.
Out of the other three, I'd choose a TSX.
Civics are...boring.
