I was wondering if people still eat well... because half the time i'm not wacko.gif I miss eating at home with all the korean food. I'm sick of eating bread or like subway all the time. Who actually takes kimichi and bab to school? Or even makes food at dorms?

i learned how to cook really well while living in college. you should try doing that. it will save a lot of money, and it could be a lot of fun!

At first all I ate was garbage food; ramen noodles, spaghetti, mcd's. Eventually I got fed up with it and taught myself how to cook. I was feeling a lot better once I started to buy some cook books, experimented with some recipes at chow.com, and actually got my hands on some "real" food. So yeah, just learn how to cook. You''re gonna' have to do it someday.

I accidentally opened the chicken flavored one when i wanted the shrimp sleep.gif .

Yeah, i'm so getting tired of food on campus.............
so it leaves me with no other choice but Ramen.. =S
But sometimes, my cousins cook and invite me along w/ them. phew.gif
I don't eat 3 times a day either.. sad.gif
Dang, i miss that.

Luckily,
I learned how to cook before I left for school; definitely saved my butt [In more ways than one...]. But sometimes when I get pressed for time and I can't prepare myself a proper meal, I eat whatever fruits or vegetables I can find. I taught myself to like raw carrots [So yucky at first....], plain lettuce [with only salt and/or vinegar] and other ridiculously tasteless things just for the sake of my health and my weight.

It's paid oFf though!
I feel better, and I can't pinch an inch in a lot of places I'm excited about biggrin.gif

I go to school like 10 minutes away from K-town so I try to stock up on ramen, rice, and side dishes. When I'm craving some fresher Korean food, I go to a food court across the street, there's a small Korean food place there tongue.gif

Wow you're just like the unnie I know who goes to college at Maine.
She says the Korean market store is far from her college and she doesn't have car to get there.
I feel bad for her cause she miss eating Korean foods D:
The only time she can eat those foods is when she goes back to Seattle! ^___^ where her families & friends are smile.gif

I still eat well. Since I don't live in dormitory O__O;;

Oh God, you have no idea how much I miss eating Korean food, especially my Mom's cooking! I moved to California from Hawaii (where she still lives) about 3 years ago, and it's just not the same. I miss the cuisine in Hawaii, and I miss my Mom and her food the most. There are Korean restaurants in this town I live in, but it's too expensive. I wish I lived close to a K-Town, so I could buy the food from there and try to cook what I can I home. sad.gif

My diet now consists mainly of Nissin Chow Mein noodles, fish sticks, instant rice, cereal, applesauce, take-out chicken from Panda Express or Pick-Up Stix, burgers and the occasional pizza. Surprisingly, I haven't gained all that much weight.. maybe about 5 or so pounds. I'm trying to get more fruits and veggies in my diet. I actually love eating them, but I don't have the opportunity to go shopping for such foods. All the good, healthy stuff are always so expensive. It's the salty, sweet or instant, processed foods that are cheap and easy to heat up that I end up forced to eat a lot of the time.

lol chicken not shrimp o_O. i've been eating entrees for awhile. preferabbly the cheap ones... expensive ones are okay but they come in so little quantity. yea ramen is the closest thing i have to asian food right now.

the foods aren't quit bad on campus. they're actually really good and can actually compare to a restuarants food. but... i only crave korean food. i don't usually crave american food/cheap mcd's so i end up eating the 6 dollar steaks (because we get 1/2 off normal price) and meat...which are good enough to last me till i get home and fatten up on carbs and vege's (mainly) kimchi again.

Um...yea, my eating habits became really bad when I got to college. I started eating a lot of sweets, eating at random times of the day, ignoring my fruits & veggies, and just wasting a lot of money on food.

However, once I moved into apartments, I've been trying to improve my eating habits...but it's still hard because I don't have a car to go grocery shopping.
