The younger you are, the better too. No regrets, eh?

if you can afford it, get it. braces are a pain to have but worth it.

I've had my braces for 3 years and now that I've gotten them off, I feel that it was definitely worth it.
They weren't that bad.

it matters...
if your teeth are right now top of each other, they grind, and then they get weaker and more sensitive...that's what happened to me and i have had braces for a lil over two years now....when a doctor suggests something to you...you should do it

Retainers are only for small problems or to follow up after braces so the teeth don't go back to it's before state.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but how is it bad having to get your teeth cleaned and cavities filled?....
most people get wisdom teeth removed because there isn't enough room so it'll crowd the other teeth, mess up alignment, and because they're so far back, they're hard to clean and prone to cavities. if you get braces because of crooked crowded teeth, eventually you'll want wisdom teeth removed anyways.

Yeahh! It's true that your top teeth should go over you bottom teeth, Everyone should have a bit of an overbite!
I have an overjet, (Ugh!). <-- I'm getting braces because I have one. But it's gonna costs like 8 grand. >.<
Chibi-Dayo:
Not everyone has to get teeth pulled in order to get braces, but yeah. Getting cavities filled....my ortho said I didn't have to.
But it would be best if I did to prevent future problems. Plusss, it would suck if you had a toothache and braces at the same time, yeah?

I don't think you REALLY need to get them if you don't want them but
in some cases when it's really bad than when that person is a lot older their
teeth can cave in and collapse. Or like another person said, you can grind on your teeth and they wear away.
And your jaw alignment might not be positioned correctly.

since it won't kill you if you don't get your teeth fixed:)
