My latest experience eating out..

- It was hot outside so they had the aircon on. But it was really weak.

-The 'fresh fish' they scooped out of the tank was thrown into a bucket then passed under the doors for the chef in the kitchen area, the fish jumped out of the bucket and landed on the kitchen floor. I'm sure they didn't clean it before throwing it on the wok. (Don't know if the chef knew, because the lady who handled the fish, put the fish straight back in the bucket.)

- The food wasn't great.. too many desserts in the banquet.

- The surrounding tables around us were two groups of noisy men (won't say the ethnicity as I'm afraid I'll offend people). There were toasting their alcohol across the two tables. (So what if you know each other.. you don't toast across the table.. dry.gif )

- After the noisy group of men were 3/4 of their way through the banquet, all 10 left the table to go for a smoke outside.. 10 mins later, they came back in.

- I only noticed the restaurant was playing atmospheric music when most of the people had left, because it was heaps noisy.

- This was supposed to be for Chinese NY sad.gif

--

Just wondering if anyone has had a bad/disgusting experience at a restaurant.. and made you consider ever returning there to eat again.

i went to a restaurant with my friends and the waitresses there were all old and mean. we asked for glasses of water, and when one of the waitresses came to refill the cup, she spilled water all over my friend's jacket. and she didn't even apologize; she just acted like nothing happened. so we were pretty pissed off because they pretty much slammed the food on our table when they brought it so we didn't give them any tip. but the same waitress who spilled the water on my friend just had to run after us all the way to our cars in the parking lot and force us to give her tip... so in the end we just gave her $1 sleep.gif ugh.

I have never personally had a bad experience but I can name an experience that was probably hell for a lot of people last year on Valentines Day.

I work at P.F. Changs China Bistro and last Valentines Day was CRAZY busy. At the time we didn't take reservations so it was just off the wall. There was about a 2 and half hour wait and there were people crowding ALL over the place. On this particular night it just so happened to start pouring rain out on the patio so we had to bring them inside. THEN it became so crowded that people started falling over, and eventually knocked over all the tables and food in the restaurant, like a domino effect.

That's very bad practice, to demand a tip. You shouldn't have even tipped her at all. If you reported her she could have gotten fired.

just so you know.. that they dont cook fish right when the scoop it out the tank , they have to remove the scales and rinse it off. and that goes for all fish, because i doubt any resturant serve fish with the scales on.

I've had bad service from time to time...people forgetting/messing up my orders. Nothing to be remembered though.

Except there was this packed dim sum restaurant that my family went to where no carts passed by us for almost 30 minutes. My dad complained and the restaurant gave us everything we wanted made fresh to order. But unfortunately it wasn't the greatest dim sum either.

me and my friends went to a korean restaurant and we forgot tip her so she ran out after us when we were getting into our cars. we never went back again and they eventually went out of business.

BJ's Brewery
1. we went for my bf's birthday and the service was slow. the table behind us had beer spilt on them cause one of the people stood up when the waiter was above him (it wasn't the waiter's fault). we were waiting for a really long time to pay, and we called to get our server but she didnt come. we went to the front hostess counter and she had the nastiest attitude. she was rolling her eyes and saying "don't you know you're suppose to pay at the table with your waiter?" and we told her that we were waiting and she said "too bad" and other stuff

2. didnt happen to us, but there was a waiter that kept coming to our table with food that we didn't order. the food was for the table behind us, but he called out the wrong food. the first time he called out calm choweder, he had a salad in his hand. and he did that for at least 3 times

Almost every Monday I go out to eat dinner with one of my friends. One night nothing else was open, so we decided to check out Applebee's, since I had never been. Bad idea... we didn't even get to sit down. It was 10, they didn't close until 11, but we just stood at the door for about 8 minutes waiting for someone to seat us. It wasn't busy, so there was no excuse for them to not help us right away. One of the waitresses was near the bar just staring at us. ugh

If it -was- an issue of being to busy (which they weren't) or about to close (which they weren't!!) someone should have come over and either told us that or asked us to leave. hmph.

Needless to say, we left and ended up going to Filiberto's. : /

It is trite to speak of a broken heart. Hearts are not broken; they continue to beat, the blood still courses, even in the bitter after-days of betrayal. But something IS broken when pain beyond words is suffered; some connexion that formerly existed with light and hope and bright mornings is severed, and can never be restored.

why would you get take out then eat is IN the restuarant.
there's no logic in that.
and i'm sure that's fair because they have to have room for people who are actually dining in.
oh hi.

My dad and I was in Hong Kong eating at this restaurant, while he was eating,
he found a dead fly in his rice. He got fully disgusted and we left immediately.
The restaurant was kind of dodgy from the outside though haha!

IHOP, that was my worst restaurant experience when I was eating out with my sisters and her group of friends. Ok, first, I don't like to eat a lot of pancakes and whatever for breakfast at restaurants because they usually serve a lot. And so I ordered something from the kids menu, which was for 12 and under and I was 12 then. SO the waitress tells ME that I'm NOT 12 and that I'm older than 12. Its like how the f*** do you know if I'm 12 or not. And she goes rambling how I dont LOOK like a 12 year old girl (I guess she never saw a 12 year old wearing a plain blue t-shirt and a pair of jeans in her life before.) and that I had to order somehing else on the menu. When they brought out the food, the same waitress lady just like slammed mine down in front of me and my food (forgot what I ordered) looks so unappitizing, the sauce was all over the plate and I was pissed as hell. She totally didn't get any tip, like she deserved any anyways.

when I told my friend about this, they told me that one of the mistake that I did was coming in my school uniform, because when they came with their uniform, the cashier ignored them when there were another customers not in the school uniform sleep.gif

This one isn't really "rude" but rather, it's terribly annoying. Erm, so I was with a group of friends eating at a buffet. And well, the cooks, or the people who bring out the "fresh" food, everytime I get up to get something new, they would follow me around and kept bugging me. I couldn't really pick out anything because I felt really uncomfortable with them surrounding me. Since a few of our friends work there as the waiter, they would drop by our table and sit down to chill a bit. So those cooks would come by and start telling my friends to introduce me to them. What's worse is that my boyfriend was there and he was just laughing his ass off because he found it so funny. I was so bloody piss off that I wanted to kick him in the face. Which I did... just not in the face dry.gif

Another time is when we went to eat dim sum. We had around 10-15 people at our table, and they only bring the cart to our table ONCE. So we had like 4 little small plates of Ha Cao (SP) on our table, with 15 people to share with. It was a huge place and they had mini cooperload of workers, but those workers just slowly pushes the cart around while they chat with each other. We got really pissed off and left after 20 minutes, no tips or nothing. And I wrote on the napkin and said "Don't open up a restaurant if you're not planning to serve the customer their food. This is the worse service ever, and we will not return".

Me and my friend had the same experience at a Thai restaurant near my school. That day we had to wait for a long time to be seated. Then when we were seated, the waiter never came to us until 20 mins later, so we were sipping water until we were half full. The thing that got me mad was that the waiter supposed to take our order first but he just take the orders for several other tables before us and we came in before those tables too!!!!!! When he was done taking those tables orders and served them food then he came to us!!! I was pissed off and ready to leave but my friend really wanted to eat so we had to suffered that. I was really mad during the whole time I ate there so I decided to not give him tips at check out. But to my dismay, he chased after us when we were actually outside of the restaurant and down the block to ask for tips. I had never experienced anything like that before so I was shocked. In the end me and my friend each gave him $1. Till this day I still have a little weird feeling walking into a Thai restaurant, no offense to anyone, and I haven't been to a Thai restaurant for a long time. Only I would be in one is when my friend really want to go eat Thai food. I was just shocked with my first ever being chased after for tips.
