Engadget just reported and confirmed that the new 16 GB iPhones are coming (or are) out and will be available immediately. SEE? SEE? hahahaha! All my friends that i told to hold off on getting the iPhone because there would be a 16GB version are now thanking me.

Yeah Steve Jobs says it's because it would cut the battery life in half...thing is though i'm seeing 3G devices popping up all over the place. You'd think if they all had battery issues too there wouldn't be such a large industry-wide shift to 3G enabled devices. Also, i believe it's confirmed that Europe will be getting a 3G iPhone.

but if its takes 2x longer to load the same page on edge network....wouldn't that defeat the purpose of longer battery life
