You need your learner's permit, proof that you completed your 6 hours behind the wheel w/ an instructor, proof of insurance, car document or something, social security card, birth certificate, a parent or guardian if you're under 18, and a well functioning car (make sure all of your signal lights and brake lights work) and I think you're set!
good luck!

it's on the dmv website. When you made an appointment, they tell you what you have to bring. SO just go back to the dmv website, and go to the appointment section to check your appointment again. Once you get there there should be links to different infos like what to bring to the test and what you should do etc. if you need more help just pm me i guess.. LOL i just took mine too in pasadena :] good luck.
the thing is I only remember bringing my school ID and permit information and birth certificate and also the paper thing you get from driving behind the wheel... but i am pretty sure it's on the website when you check your appointment time again. I didn't have insurance, I got it after I got my license...

I just took it monday!! =D
Anyways, you need proof of insurance for the car, all your certificate thingies (pink, white, & yellow), proof that the car is approved by DMV (should be a white square-ish paper), parent/guardian with valid license over 21, your appointment paper thingy, permit. I think that's all. It should be on the paper you printed out when you made the appointment online.
And when you're taking the test, don't be nervous!! Or try to show that you're not. And make it very obvious that you're looking around constantly because I got marked down a lot from that. Otherwise it's pretty easy. it's like a 10-15 minute test. You only need to change lanes about twice & mostly drive in residential areas. (for me anyways)
so... GOOD LUCK!!
