the sad side is that the media is going to trash them and the fans are going to stop loving them

I'd support them, honestly, what difference would it make if he/she were homosexual? Doesn't matter about the sexual orientation, as long as they still have talent.

It'd just be too shallow if you weren't going to support them anymore, well thats my opinion.
