im craving hummus right about now and i usually buy a can of chick peas and make it myself. the first time i made it it didnt turn out that great b/c of the crappy food processor left the skin intact and the texture was not so great. the second time i took off most of the skins and used a blender instead but then i added too much tahini for my tastes. :x
anyway, when you make hummus, do you peel the chick peas/garbanzo beans before you blend it?

When you drain the chickpeas, you should also rinse them afterwards. That should get most of the skin off. Tahini is interesting stuff--a little bit goes a long way! It's more potent than sesame seed oil, IMO!
