did you ever bite something hard and chip a small piece of your front tooth? did you leave it alone or have something done?

sad part is it wasn't even something hard! i was eating soup and i chipped my tooth. i think its from getting my teeth whitened too often and it weakens my enamel or something but i just got a filling for it

AND HERE THIS IS, A THREAD ABOUT CHIPPED TOOTH! WOW SOOMPI IS SO POWERFUL

So why are they so fragile? I don't have enough calcium or what?
It's kinda frightening how easy it is to chip a tooth.

I chipped one of my front teeth on a piece of bone in the sweet&sour pork I was eating dry.gif It was hidden in the meat! Anyway, it was just a tiny chip and I didn't have anything done. This happened a few years ago and I went to the dentist a couple months ago and they asked me about it, but didn't really say anything about it after so I guess it doesn't need to be "fixed"? blink.gif

i havent chipped a tooth before but my brother did while he was playing basketball and when he got home he went straight to the dentist...he got it fixed. my older sister chipped her tooth riding a bike with my other older sister when she was a kid. she never got it fixed so a couple years later when she went skating she fell and the rest of the tooth fell out...she never got it fixed...i dunno when she'll fix it. i guess you should fix it.

i chipped my tooth last year... on a NEEDLE.

I know, it's really sad. I was trying to pull the needle through really thick fabric and it wouldn't budge, so I tried with my teeth (it's worked before).

I chipped my tooth once when I was eating with chopsticks, it somehow went through my tooth.. err hard to explain. I guess it was really fragile from too much whitening. It made a pretty noticeable chip, so I got a nail file and fixed it. I'm not sure if that was the total safe way but.. it worked. i just evened it out and the dentist didn't notice it.

yup, my front tooth =[
i was eating a peach
and i bit too hard on the seed T__T
OH the HARD SEED
but then i went to the dentist and they filled it in? O__O
they told me that if i eat something hard, it might come out
its a small chip but it made me sad
ehhs it's been a long time since that incident and it still didn't come out yet =]
If you want to change something, do it.

My front tooth when I was little.
I found someone's skateboard very interesting.
So the guy offered it to me.
And I went down the hill.
I was only 3.
And I chipped my tooth.
It was one of the first teeth I lost I think.

when he says my name, I can't stop smiling.

I chipped a little part of my tooth when I was eating once. The spoon (metal) was in my mouth, and for some reason I had the urge to bite down really hard on it, it was like instinct or something. x_x;

I remember chipping a little bit of my tooth fighting over a mic with my cousin during karaoke sweatingbullets.gif It smoothed out by itself but my friend chipped half his tooth in a bike accident and had to get his tooth surgically attached or something o-o

I chipped a tooth, because my little brother has a big head,
if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have it, but yeah, I left
it alone, it's not really visible, I guess, but I hate the
feeling of something like metal aganist it, for a long time
I stayed away from forks, weird.

I have a really tiny chip on one of my front teeth. xD

I don't remember how I got it.. but it was couple years ago.. and it hasn't changed or anything.. not even "smooth" out (as someone said above.. that won't happen) I don't think i'll fill it in or anything. o_O doesn't really bother me. ^^
