well i signed up for collegeboard and all these colleges are sending me letters advertising their college. is anyone else getting this too? i want to know if this is useful or just spam. Thanks.

=P it's spam. Don't do it... Unfortunately I didn't mark for the College Board to do it, but I must've checked the box during the PLAN test... ARGH!

ahahhah...same here, and there sending me all this crap on my e-mail too...i've never really read them...i just toss them to the side...then like 3 weeks later i read them and get to know more about the college...its kinda like spamm...but just take the time to read them...u mite find something interesting...^^

All of them are like pre-written letters and they just change the names. xD
I get weird ones from colleges I've never heard of ... Like Kalamazoo.
Except I do feel somewhat special when I get letters from like WashU, NYU, Columbia, etc.
I'm so hopeless. lol

I really admit though... seeing letter from like WashU, Brown, Northwestern, Washington and Lee, and other really prestigious colleges makes you happy xD.... Even if they are pre-written lol ^.^

Oh my god. Everyday when I check the mail I have like ten letters waiting for me. They are SO annoying. Not to mention that my parents email is flooded hahaha. I just throw all of them away since they all say the same exact thing.

Yep yep. I once checked that student search thingy thinking it would be useful.

This is really common. I've gotten a bajillion college mail already 
At first it's nice, but afterwards it's just a waste and you throw it all away. But hey, if you're lucky maybe you'll find one that interests you. But usually they'll send you emails too and there's an unsubscribe button in the emails so just use that.

yeah, they're starting to get really annoying, but i have gotten a few pretty good ones from Brown, Stanford, Columbia, Washington University (St. Louis campus), NYU, Colgate, and etc.

nonprofit organzationb albhalbh kind of stamps
just trash it. lol
