So I've been d/ling some hd videos lately which my computer cant handle. So I try converting them to smaller resolutions which is great but the problem is I'm having problems converting sometimes. I haven't tried many programs, but what I have tried so far are basically the following:
1. VirtualDub & VirtualDubMod
2. Super
3. AllToAvi
These hd videos I'm talking about are 1080i and usually in .tp format. They don't work with VirtualDub and it used to work on Super.. like I was able to convert to smaller resolutions with the same aspect ratio (16:9). But then they had a few updates recently and now I can't convert with the same aspect ratio, like I can't see any video when I play the file. But it will work with other aspect ratios, but then the image is all distorted so it's pretty annoying. AllToAvi works and is able to convert those hd files to lower resolutions with the same aspect ratio, however the quality is not as good as Super's which is pretty annoying too.
Anyway, I was wondering which programs you guys use. Maybe there's one that will work better for my purposes.
