Hey everyone,

of course now a days people are like dieting and exercising like crazy for summer to come. Over and over again people said that the main thing to losing weight is eating healthy. Well, that's kind of impossible for me. I exercise a lot at night, but i still get tempted with so much junk food. Can anyone tell me how they stop themselves from eating things that aren't really helping you on your diet? LOL

It's something that you sort of have to learn for yourself, I think. I'm a big lover of junk food, but I'm also very prone to having cavities........so I can't eat too much sweets. I guess that works for me. I also tend to stay away from fatty foods because after seeing family members undergoing heart bypasses and such because of high cholesterol, I've told myself that I'm not going down the same road.

hmm i dunno
i don't like buying food, especially snacks, because they're such a waste you know
I eat them and then I poop everything out within a few hours later.

go get a piggy bank, when you're tempted to buy junk food, put the $$ in the piggy bank.
By the end of the month, you will be able to buy something nicer, like clothes or electronics LOL

^ haha.. i do that too XD but anywho.. if you're craving something just try to avoid it and eat something else. i'm sorry if i'm not helping =|

if you get tempted to eat those bad junk foods, just to brush your teeth.
Or better, slap yourself ^___^! Haha, I'm kidding.
But uhmm, try to go read and fall asleep, or try doing something that'll keep you occupied.
I'm currently semi hiatus at the moment due to school.

I don't have to worry about weigh at all. I eat normal more than normal but don't gain a pound. I tried to eat healthy now since I'm getting older like I eat a lot potatoes, fruits, veggies, and lot of water. I don't want to eat too much junky anymore like I used to, even if it doesn't make me gain weight but still it is bad for me in the long run, people always tell me that I might get fat after I have kids so to be on the safe side, that's why I started to eat healthy and it might be good for my kids too. When I get pregnant. Old people always tell me that.

I love chocolate.When I eat them my face breaks out. So ever time I get tempt by them I eat fruit or snack or just get rice then eat it with meat and veggies. I eat a lot but healthy food nowadays.

Use your head, not your stomach.

It's just a simple thought to not give in to temptation when junk food is presented to you.

well as long as it's out of reach, you shouldn't get too tempted. I think that would help.

Also find something that is a healthy snack that you enjoy and keep that within reach. I read this in a magazine awhile ago, I haven't tried though but it makes sense to me.

Oh man tell me about it. When I exercise I want to eat more and more sweets. I think my body is craving carbs because I'm burning it. Go to the grocery store and avoid buying junk food. If you don't have junk food at home, you wont eat junk food right? ... at least at home.

People say, "oh if you're craving sweets then get some healthy sweets like fruits and veggies that are sweet" but it isn't the same. I think you just have to discipline yourself and/or eat something that is healthier to substitute. There is no easy way.

Also don't eat dinner too early if you are a night owl. I used to eat at 6-7, but when I ate that early I always got hungry starting at 10-11 and ruined the point of dining early. Eat a light dinner at 8-9 if you sleep late, then have a snack of fruits and veggies... or cereal. tongue.gif

- stop buying junk foods, buy fruits instead.
- always take fruits with you, so when you see sweets, eat fruits instead.
